Saint Lucia / The Body Holiday
I have just returned from The BodyHoliday in Saint Lucia with my best friend, Charlotte, and I couldn’t feel more relaxed. I feel like I genuinely have come back a fitter, healthier and calmer version of myself. It’s one of the only places I know where you can choose to do nothing but lounge on the beach or do the total opposite and be as active as you your body allows you to be.

Charlotte and I could only stay for 5 nights, but the ideal time would be anything from 1 week to 2 weeks (although many people there were happily 2 weeks in and staying for a further week!). We booked through Virgin Holidays, and from the moment we boarded the Virgin Atlantic flight the holiday had well and truly begun.
To give you an idea of what a day looks like at The BodyHoliday, I would wake up early around 6am to get to the first class of the day such as the BeachFit class where you’re worked to your max as the sun rises. Next up is breakfast. I usually went for a bowl of granola topped with peanut butter and sliced banana with a side of watermelon. Then it’s time for a treatment at the spa – every day of the holiday includes a treatment such as a full body aromatherapy massage or Elemis facial. Yep… Total heaven!
We’d then wander down to the beach where we’d swim in the sea and do a bit of water skiing and grab a light lunch at the deli. I’d then usually do another class, such as BoxFit, and then attend the evening yoga class watching the sun setting over the horizon. After a quick turn around, we’d head out to meet new friends that we had made for a drink at the Piano Bar followed by dinner at one of the restaurants. Our favourite was Tao, a fusion fine dining experience.
If like me you tend to get a bit restless on holiday lying on a beach all day, I’m positive you’ll love it here because it really is impossible to get bored with so much going on!
